Well, in lack of ANY official news at ALL, except from a long forgotten post somewhere in all the spam in this forum, i made this thread to kindly ask administration to give us some official info about the new server. Anything will do, but i will ask a few questions with ur permission.

First of all, the start date. We would like a CLEAR announcement stating that the start date is still up for 1st march.

Secondly, if u can tell us, why the long postpone of start date? Was it because you intend to get better hardware for the new server? Were there some legal problems with ncsoft / innova?

Third, any information about the rates IF they're decided. If not, some hints on how they could probably look.

Forth, ingame donations and antibot system. Please tell us what the donation shop will include, as this is a make or break feature for a lot of us. And, just a little bit less important, will we have a better antibot system? Because right now even an idiot can bot without problems.

Fifth, and NOT the least, there is a rumor going around that rpg club will advance to gracia epilogue soon. How true is this rumor? Any chance in that happening? And if it will happen, are you going to mod the current g.final files to epilogue? Or a new u know what?

Well, now I'm going to answer your questions just because only now I have what to answer
Yes, start date is still up for 1 March 2010.
And we took these 2+ months to prepare this start well in all aspects (hardware, advertisment etc.)
Then preliminary information on rates - it'll be smth like this:
Adena/Exp/SP: amount  x5
SealStones: amount  x5
Adena, SealStones: chance 100%
Drop: chance x5
Spoil: chance x3, amount x1
Quest: x5 (not for all quests)  
Quest awards: exp x5, adena x5
But, certainly, there may be some changes later on.
GM shop will have practically the same offer as now on x30 (or closer to x1, you may log in and see it there).
As for Gracia Epilogue, it's just a rumor.

Updated new questions:

1. As you saw, people weren't too fond on the idea that:
*spoil should be 1x amount and 3x chance;
*drop should be 1x amount and 5x chance.
For a much better balance it should be 1x chance for both and 5x amount for drop / 3x for spoil. Will this change occur?(ofcourse recipes and item parts will need to have the amount set to x1 and chance to 3x/5x)

2. When can we get clear information on the (game server / sql server) specifications? Might not be too important but ppl would like to make an idea on how smooth the gameplay will be

3. A lot of people want to know if Seed of Destruction will behave the same way as on x30? Or if it will be fixed as retail any time soon

4. Full blown english version of the site was announced quite some time ago. Can you please tell us what's the progress on it? Will it be here before x5 launches? If not, when do you think it will?

5. Are we going to see new english speaking gm's for the new server? How about forum moderators?

6. Will we have any event at the start of the 5x server?

7. Can we please know (if it's not too much to ask) where will the phisical location for the new server be? (where will the server be hosted)

8. Least but NOT last, when can we expect clear information of what the in-game donation shop will hold? What do you think about peoples opinion of some items from donation shop that they will influence the gameplay directly? I'm speaking about items like Giants Codex, Blessed D/C/B enchants, xp/sp runes and adena? The same about quests, will we be able to donate for 3rd class / subclass / nobless?



This is it for now and, as allways, we will be happy if even one of the questions will be answered. We understand that some info might not be avaible yet or simply not for public.

Sorry to bump this again, just wanted to add one little thing. Answer the questions when ever you can BUT please, show us the custom npcs (donation shop, buff npc, quest npc w/e) in their final form as fast as possible. I'm certain most of the people that would like to play here wait to see how the donations will look like before making a decision. Thank you!

Last batch of questions.

1) First of all, we know that full trade list is expected on 20-23 february (as stated by you, Alice), but some people insisted to ask this:

*mammon functions will be included at cat for the x5 as well?
*donation for 3rd class, subclass and nobless will be avaible? If yes, will it be avaible since day 1?
*1st and 2nd class changes are going to be quest only? Free from npc? Avaible as donation from npc?
*any kind of free shots at shop (as there is D and C shots on 30x)? Being a low rate server most probably there won't be any free shots at npc, but we ask just to clear this out.

2) Will RIM (solo) Kamaloka be avaible? I'm pretty sure this won't be included as this is an 'only korea' thing, but i'm asking for those that are interested.

3) The pre-level 40 buffer will still be included?

4) We know this will be a little boring for admin to gather Smiley but can he please tell us exactly what quests are boosted to x5?

5) More precise info about hardware config:

*is the game and sql servers on 1 machine or separated ones?
*if separated, what are the specs of sql server?
*important: what storage is in place? HDD's / raid setup?

6) Will there be any custom changes to skills like on x30? By this we mean if we will have hero zerk modified to not give immunity to raid curse? Or if fishing potions will work on olympiad like it does on retail?

7) Any planned recruitation of new gm's (not forum moderators) to take care of botters ingame (IF antibot won't be here until server starts)?

8] Shabaka gave us a hint that a much better antibot system will arrive soon. Can you please define what should we expect from 'soon'? Before start / closely after start / few weeks/month(s) after start?

1) So, the donations list... The new Global Mod was a little bit too fast, and I would like to give some more comments on it:
  - At this moment you may see x5 GMshop on TEST-EVENT server ("Server Items" menu will be corrected soon).
  - NOTE that x5 server will have another currency rate. 1 Slvercoin = + 0.04 USD.
  - No 1st, 2nd class and 3rd class changes, subclass and nobless for donations at start. They may be introduced later.
  - No Adena for donations at start. It  may be introduced later.
